After a carefree childhood in the wilds of the Poitevin marches of western France, Richard Texier settles in Paris in 1973 where he studies art and architecture, he finishes his formal education with a doctorate in Plastic Art at the Sorbonne. He leaves for New York City in 1979, where he initiates a nomadic strategy of creation which he names “Nomadic Workshops”… This strategy subsequently enables him to multiply his workshop space to venues all over the world.
